Computer Science (OCR H446)

As well as learning how to program in both low and high level programming languages, the course provides the opportunity to learn about the structure of the processor, how programs are translated into the 1’s and 0’s that the processor can understand, database design, network infrastructure, modern web technologies and elements of law related to computer use.

  • Component 2 – Algorithms and Programming, written paper, 2 hours 30 minutes, worth 40%
  • Component 3 – Programming Project, externally moderated coursework, worth 20%

Cambridge Technical Introductory Diploma in IT (OCR 5840)

  • Unit 8 – Project management, externally moderated coursework.
  • Unit 21 – Web design and prototyping, externally moderated coursework.
