Accounting: AQA A-level

A-level accounting provides a secure base to enter into a career into business or finance, developing valuable skills that are relevant across different disciplines. The course allows you to develop knowledge that is highly specialised and also transferable skills such as numerical proficiency, analytical thinking, attention to detail, ethical awareness, communication skills and problem solving. These will allow you to enter into worlds of business, finance or self employment with an ability to construct and understand accounts.

You do not need to have studied accounts before, but you must be familiar with using numbers and confident enough to get a feel for what they are telling you. The course is wide ranging and will complement business and economics, but also work well as a stand alone qualification.

You will sit two three hour exams at the end of year 13.
