Computer Science is a new subject available at KBA. It is an ever-developing course that studies the digital and technological world. Studying an A-Level in Computer Science is perfect for students who are interested in technology, programming, logical thinking and problem solving. Student will develop a detailed knowledge of programming skills, app development, web development and network systems.

Students will follow the OCR A-Level Specification and will cover the following themes:
 

Component 1

  • Input, Output and Storage Devices

  • Software and Software Development

  • Exchanging Data

  • Data Types, Data Structures and Algorithms

  • Legal, Moral, Cultural and Ethical Issues

Component 2

  • Elements of Computational Thinking

  • Problem Solving and Programming

  • Algorithms
