Secondary Admissions Test
As explained fully in our Admissions Policy, part of the admissions oversubscription criteria to the academy is that prospective pupils sit an admissions test.
This is a verbal-reasoning, cognitive ability test and NOT a pass/fail test.
We have been notified by the local authority of students whose parents have expressed a preference for a school place at KBA and have written to those parents inviting their child to sit our Admissions Test on Saturday 9th December 2017.
If you have not received an invitation to attend our Admissions Test, please let us know at the earliest opportunity.
Parents / carers are reminded that, as explained in our Admissions Policy, preference for places is given to students who sit the test over students who do not.
We urge all parents to make their child's attendance at this test a priority. We are aware, however, that there may be exceptional circumstances which lead to a very small number of students not being able to attend. In this instance, a single alternative date and time will be offered.
Once students have completed the test, papers are marked externally and students placed into one of nine ability bands based upon national averages.
Results are forwarded to Northamptonshire's Admissions Team who are responsible for the allocation of places.
