This website can give an indication of the type of employment graduates enter into. It covers a variety of the main degree subjects. It may help students to decide which university course to choose as it gives an indication of the job prospects following graduation. It gives an idea of the current and future trends in industry and typical salaries. It also has suggestions on how to improve job prospects.

During 2015-16 Sixth Form students have had the opportunity to visit Birmingham University, Cambridge University, Loughborough University, De Montfort University and Bedfordshire University as part of our extensive careers and higher education programme. Similar trips will be organised for 2016-17 academic year.

Representatives from Leicester University, Northampton University, Bedfordshire University, De Montfort University and Lincoln University are all presenting to our sixth form students as part of our Global Learning Programme during 2016-7.

CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY

The academy has developed strong links with Pembroke College, Cambridge. A group of Year 10 students are currently engaged in a research project with the University. During the last academic year, a number of students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 visited the University on different occasions in order to take part in a variety of masterclasses, practical sessions and tours and to gain advice on Oxbridge applications. This year, similar trips are being arranged for students in the same year groups.

NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY

Representatives from Newcastle University have presented to students in Years 7-13 about the benefits of Higher Education and studying at a Russell Group University.
